The loving verses tell us
of a Mother who is dear,
So sweet and kind and thoughtful
that you always want her near;
You discover she’s compassionate,
forgiving, pure and good—
A candidate for Heaven,
supreme in Motherhood.

It’s when I read these verses
that I can plainly see--
It’s the kids that are forgiving,
for they’ve put up with me!
